Evan's Closing in on Lap 3!!!

Well another birthday is coming up for Evan and this year we are doing a Cars themed birthday because he still loves that movie and his little car toys. I found a cute Cars invitation you can order personalized online, but there's no way I'm paying for something I can duplicate on my own computer! :) So, here is what I did. I'm pretty happy with how it turned out.

I'm going to do a Cars cake too, of course, but it won't be too elaborate, just a simple 9" round that will have a racetrack, Lightning McQueen and Mater on it. That cake will be for the candles. Last weekend we transplanted all our daffodil, tulip and hyacinth bulbs and my wrists got very sore pulling all those bulbs apart. I'm not sure they are up to a lot of piping, so simple will be better this year. I'm going to do cupcakes on the side in Lightning McQueen wrappers with little cupcake toppers and little cars sprinkles. I have a really cool cupcake holder that I got from Sherylee last year, so they will look cute in that. I think Evan will be pretty thrilled with it all!

Your Phone is Laughing

I recorded Evan laughing and put that on my phone as my ring tone. I love it! That's why if you call me, I am probably smiling when I answer. :) The other day my phone rang and Evan said to me, "Mommy, your phone is laughing."

Just Chillin'

Evan is sitting on Gary's lap on the rocking chair. I just asked him, "Are you chillin' with Daddy?" His response, "no, he's hot." :)
